15 metre Ferry

Developed for trips both inland and offshore, the Bobkat 15x range are ideal for medium distance ferrying. These versatile craft can be produced with the propulsion options of your choice: anything from petrol or diesel outboards to powerful diesel outdrives or jets capable of producing speeds in excess of 35 knots. This fibreglass catamaran provides optimal stability and low hull resistance. Six watertight compartments are bouyancy chambers that add to the safety factor that no monohull can equal. Hull and superstructure hand lay-up is in fibreglass to Lloyds Rules. Modern diesel engines direct coupled to Waterjets give very shallow draft and the best maneouvreability and stopping power.
The Bobkat 1505 1506 and 1510 are styled to be the answer to the requirements of customers who demand comfort and safety even in adverse wind or sea conditions. Their cost-effctiveness make the Bobkat 15x range ideal and reliable ferries for a variety of applications.

Seating for 52 is provided, as well as a fully fitted helm, two toilets and ample storage space. Views are ensured for all passengers; seating arrangements to client's specification.

Bobkat 1510 High Speed ferry for 50+ passengers

Bobkat 1505
Seating aft for 40 passengers is provided. A tube frame supports the roll-down canvas canopy, providing shade and protection from the elements as needed. Forward is the enclosed cabin with optional air conditioning and seating for 14 first class passengers. Two toilets are provided, as well as ample storage space. The helm is fitted to client’s sprcification.
With a light displacement of 11 000kg and engine power of 525 kW, service speed is a comfortable 18 knots. Two 1 000l diesel tanks provide 15 hours (250 nm) of travel before refuelling. Larger fuel tanks can be installed.

Bobkat 1506
Aircraft type seats for 56 passengers is provided, as well as two toilets, fully fitted helm and ample storage space. All windows are poly-carbonate, and the floors are carpeted to client specification. Optional Genset with air conditioners can supply cool air for passenger comfort. Further optional seating for 10 can be provided on the upper deck. Full safety and navigational equipment is supplied, as required by SAMSA.
