Designed to provide the serious fisherman with an exceptionally cost-effective, low-maintenance craft, the Makaira 8600 is a market leader in this category. The design, together with correct weight distribution, allows for non-broaching even in the heaviest following seas. The V6 outboard power option allows speeds in excess of 30 knots. Cost savings are significant compared to conventional monohull craft. Outboards tilt clear of the water at moorings, and allow the boat to be easily dry-docked and launched and retrieved from a beach using a custom-designed trailer.

All conceivable fishing and navigational aids are included. Belowdecks two cabins sleep three with WC, shower, basin and galley. Launching from a beach is made easy with a custom built trailer. Advanced hydro-supportive foil technology allows an improved power to weight ratio and affords significant cost savings compared to conventional monohull craft, the Makaira 8600 was designed with an overriding concern for safety, something absent in so many ski-boats built today. Comfort and speed are other bonuses that only cats can provide.
