The asymmetrical twin hull design allows banking on inside turns, directional stability and non-broaching in heavy following seas. All fishing aids can be included, as well as navigational equipment, a fully instrumented dual helm, galley, mess, two cabins with four berths, master cabin en-suite, WC, shower and basin. Flydeck and aft deck add extra space and versatility to this popular craft. Finishes and special features can be added to client specification.
Cruising speed, depending on engine choice, ranges from 23 to 28 knots, sprint speed can reach 40 knots with the right configuration. As an example, the Bobkat1251 is fitted with two 370 HP Series B Cummins marine diesel engines and two TWIN DISC 50 50V gearboxes and has a sprint speed of 37 knots (68km/h) at 7 metric tons displacement. The Bobkat 12x range can carry a maximum load of 2 700kg.
